Youth doings
Our St. Clement Youth Group PJ Party was a total hit! Thanks to everyone who joined us to kick off the holiday season with fun, laughter, and cozy vibes. Also, thank you to all of our catechists for your devotion to our youth! 🎅🎄✨
Announcements
- St. Clement will be having a Christmas Posada on Sunday December 22nd at 6:30pm in the church. To learn more about the tradition of Las Posadas, check out this article on the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City’s website.
- The holiday liturgy schedule (Christmas and Mary, Mother of God) is available on the parish website.
- The parish office will be closed from 24 Dec to 1 Jan.
- 1 Jan 2025 is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, a holy day of obligation. Masses will be offered at 7pm on Tuesday 31 Dec (Spanish) & at 10:30am Wednesday 1 Jan (English).
- 2025 offertory envelopes are available in the church foyer.
Faces of St. Clement Parish: introducing deacon candidate Fernando Nevarez
Dear Parish Family,
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and grow with you. My name is Fernando Nevarez, I have been in this parish some years now with my wife (Sofia) and our children (Fernando, Estafania and Dario). I am currently in the process of permanent diaconate formation. I feel a deep calling to serve others and to be a witness of Christ’s love in our community. Through this formation, I have been blessed to learn more about the faith, and I look forward to walking alongside you as we share in this journey together. Please know that I am here to support and serve you, and I am excited to get to know each of you better in the coming months.

Estoy agradecido por la oportunidad de servir y crecer con ustedes. Mi nombre es Fernando Nevarez, llevo varios años en esta parroquia junto a mi esposa (Sofía) y nuestros hijos (Fernando, Estafanía y Darío). Actualmente, estoy en el proceso de formación para el diaconado permanente. Siento un profundo llamado a servir a los demás y a ser testigo del amor de Cristo en nuestra comunidad. A través de esta formación, he sido bendecido al aprender más sobre la fe y estoy emocionado de caminar junto a ustedes mientras compartimos este viaje. Por favor, sepan que estoy aquí para apoyarlos y servirles, y me entusiasma que podamos conocernos major.

Jubilee 2025
All are invited to be part of a short procession from Chapman Centennial Greens to Holy Family Cathedral on Sunday 29 Dec starting at 2pm to open the local celebration of the Jubilee year 2025. Bishop Konderla will read the Jubilee Proclamation, and Mass will begin shortly afterward.
Pilgrims are asked to park at Holy Family Cathedral and walk the few blocks to the Centennial Greens to be part of the procession. Pilgrim passports are available in the foyer at St. Clement.
The Jubilee Year of Hope opens in Rome on Christmas Eve 2024 and will include a host of liturgies, prayers, and gatherings around the world. More information can be found in the latest issue of The Eastern Oklahoma Catholic (viewable online here) as well as via these links:
Our diocese will have 12 parish pilgrimages - one per month – each with a specific theme. The first pilgrimage will occur on Saturday, 4 Jan 2025, at St. Francis Xavier in Tulsa. The theme is Peace and Unity: Victims of War and End to Violence.

Let us pray together for these loved ones, all those who have no one to pray for them, and each other:

- our catechumens, all those preparing to receive First Holy Communion, and all their catechists, sponsors, and families
- the frightened, the hopeless, the infirm, and the isolated... that Christ’s healing touch and Mary’s gentle presence be of comfort to them
- the holy souls in purgatory, all those near death, and all who mourn the loss of loved ones
- all those listed in our book of prayer intentions
We invite folks to send names (first only are fine!) to include on a list of people for whom to pray, such as the sick and suffering of our parish. If you’d like to add a name to the prayer list (yours or someone else’s *with their permission), please email that info to Bonnie at music@stcbixby.org.
