Hello, St. Clement parishioners & friends, and merry merry Christmas!
What a joy to see so many familiar and new faces at our Christmas liturgies! Many thanks to all those who added to the beauty of our parish home for the Solemnity of Our Lord’s Nativity!
The parish office will be closed until Thursday 2 Jan 2025. There will, however, be Masses offered as usual this weekend and for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God (a holy day of obligation):
- Tuesday 31 Dec at 7pm in Spanish
- Wed 1 Jan at 10:30am in English
If you haven’t yet picked up your 2025 offertory envelopes, those await you in the church foyer.
Jubilee 2025 underway!
The Jubilee Year of Hope opened in Rome on Christmas Eve and will include a host of liturgies, prayers, and gatherings around the world. More information can be found in the latest issue of The Eastern Oklahoma Catholic (viewable online here) as well as via these links:
All are invited to be part of a short procession from Chapman Centennial Greens to Holy Family Cathedral this Sunday 29 Dec starting at 2pm to open the local celebration of the Jubilee year 2025. Bishop Konderla will read the Jubilee Proclamation, and Mass will begin shortly afterward.
Pilgrims are asked to park at Holy Family Cathedral and walk the few blocks to the Centennial Greens to be part of the procession.
Our diocese will have 12 parish pilgrimages - one per month – each with a specific theme. The first pilgrimage will occur on Saturday, 4 Jan 2025, at St. Francis Xavier in Tulsa. The theme is Peace and Unity: Victims of War and End to Violence. Pilgrim passports are available in the foyer at St. Clement.

Let us pray together for these loved ones, all those who have no one to pray for them, and each other:
- Amanda Dentist
- James S
- our catechumens, all those preparing to receive First Holy Communion, and all their catechists, sponsors, and families
- families: those just beginning, those in crisis, those who are rejoicing, and those suffering from brokenness or sorrow
- the ailing, the despondent, the endangered, the weary, and all who seek to care for them
- the holy souls in purgatory, all those near death, and all who mourn the loss of loved ones
- all those listed in our book of prayer intentions
We invite folks to send names (first only are fine!) to include on a list of people for whom to pray, such as the sick and suffering of our parish. If you’d like to add a name to the prayer list (yours or someone else’s *with their permission), please email that info to Bonnie at music@stcbixby.org.
