Happy Easter, St. Clement parishioners & friends!
Thanks so much to everyone who helped make the Holy Week liturgies so beautiful and prayerful! Here’s hoping your Easter celebrations are going strong during this festive season, which continues through Pentecost on Sunday 8 June 2025!
This Sunday is a really special one — Divine Mercy Sunday — and it’s all about leaning into the love and forgiveness Jesus is pouring out for all of us.
You’ve probably seen that image of Jesus with rays of red and white light coming from His heart — that’s Divine Mercy. And the message is simple but powerful: no matter where we are, His mercy is bigger.
Here’s how you can embrace it this weekend as a family:
- Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy together. It’s short, simple, and super powerful.
- Go to Confession and receive the Eucharist — Jesus promised some amazing graces on this day.
- Talk with your kids about how God is always ready to forgive and help us start fresh.
- And if nothing else, just say from the heart: “Jesus, I trust in You.”
Let this Sunday be a chance to slow down, say thank you, and soak up his mercy — as a family, and as people trying our best.
Even as we celebrate our risen Lord and his mercy, we grieve the passing of Pope Francis from this life and pray for the repose of his soul. Our liturgies will include such prayers, and a memorial area will be set up in the church.
At the Masses in English this weekend we will sing These Alone Are Enough by Dan Schutte, the text of which is adapted from the Suscipe Prayer attributed to St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus – the religious order to which Pope Francis belonged. The prelude and postlude music will also be in honor of Pope Francis’s passing.

- Today Bishop Konderla announced the pastoral assignments for 2025, including the return of Deacon Joe Guzman to St. Clement effective 1 Aug! Welcome back, Dcn. Guzman!
